During his tenure of almost 10 years as the DOC in both North and South Texas the landscape of club soccer began to change with clubs emerging as front runners in player development because of their organization, programming and staffing. Successful clubs today;

  • Create an environment where players of varying abilities can play & improve
  • Manage elite players based upon their needs; ODP, college preparation
  • Manage recreational players based upon participation and leisure
  • Understand that who they are serving through their club via coaching, programming and management

Included in Simeone's responsibilities as a National Staff Coach with the U.S. Women's National Teams Program were coaching appointments with youth and senior U.S. womenís national teams as well as opportunities to observe players, identify talent, and educate coaches at the club level in order to influence player development and player identification for ODP and national teams.
